Don Moen is a singer and songwriter who has been in the music industry for over 40 years. He has written more than 3,000 songs, which have been recorded by a wide range of artists, including Michael W. Smith, Sandi Patty, and Amy Grant. He has also released over 30 albums of his own music (including two Christmas albums).
Moen was born in Mississippi and began his musical career when he was just four years old. At age 12, he began singing with his father at church, and at 16, he moved to California to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter. In 1972 he joined The Imperials, an American contemporary Christian group who were signed to Warner Bros. Records at that time. He left The Imperials after two years in order to pursue solo work again. Still, He remained with Warner Bros., releasing his self-titled debut album in 1980, followed by five more albums over the next decade before signing with Word Records, where he released another five albums between 1990 and 2000 before signing with Rocketown Records in 2001, where he released another three albums before signing back up with Word again in 2012 until now!
